ViewMatters ("ViewMatters", "we", "us" or "our") operates the website view-matters.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and applicable Italian data protection law.
ViewMatters is an early-stage project developing AI-based technology to measure outdoor view quality, built on research from Politecnico di Milano. For any question regarding this Policy or your personal data, you can contact us at info@view-matters.com.
The Site is currently a pre-launch page. We collect the personal data you voluntarily provide and a limited amount of technical data:
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and the Site is not intended for children under 16.
We process your data to add you to our waitlist and send you updates about our product launch (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time). We respond to your enquiries and communicate with you (legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps taken at your request). We operate, secure and improve the Site (legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe and functional website). We comply with legal obligations where applicable (legal basis: legal obligation).
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Site and our waitlist, acting as data processors on our behalf. These include our website and hosting provider (Lovable) and email or form-handling services. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose data where required by law.
We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the project no longer requires it. We keep contact correspondence for as long as needed to manage your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to rectify inaccurate data, to erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@view-matters.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function, as well as optional cookies for analytics. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
For any question about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact us at info@view-matters.com.
